Biography

Amy's short, amateur career was highlighted by her 1973 USGA Junior Girl’s title at the age of 17. 

In 1983, Amy became the sixth LPGA millionaire, and in 1994, she crossed the $2 million mark in career earnings. 

Among her many awards, Amy was LPGA Rookie of the Year (1975); Golf Magazine Player of the Year (1980); YWCA Silver Achievement Award Winner and National MS Achievement Award Winner (1984); Amy was also awarded the Founders Cup in 1986, designed to recognize altruistic contributions to the betterment of society by an LPGA member. Amy has made an endowment to the UCLA Women's Athletic Dept. that will establish perpetual golf scholarships for the women's golf program.
